With so many teen groups, it’s hard to separate the wheat from the chaff. Which is exactly where “I Love Teens” comes in - it does all that hard work for you, filtering all that music into a collection of sixteen tracks representing the best of today’s teen-pop phenomenon.
Most of the cuts will be familiar to you from radio and television, so there shouldn’t be any nasty surprises. Among the chosen few, Boyzone (“All That I Need”), S Club 7 (“S Club Party”), Vanessa Amorossi (“Absolutely Everybody”), Samantha Mumba (“Gotta Tell You”) and Jeanette (the attitude-heavy “Go Back”) stand out as truly unique. The album also includes singles by 98degrees (the Caribbean-inspired “Give Me Just One Night”), A*Teens (with a remake of Abba’s “Dancing Queen”) and Ronan Keating (“Life Is A Rollercoaster”).
Naturally, a couple of bad apples have crept in - right now, I’m thinking Lolly and Gypsy Kids - but they’re few and far between, and the overall sound of the album is young, hopeful and incredibly peppy. Great for the car, the local youth hangout, or your teenager’s next house party!
