This charming sixteen year old’s breathy, soft voice tickles your ears. She’s Mandy Moore with her second album release after “So Real” (released 1999) that went platinum.
This collection is basically a repackaging of her first album. The title song, which is undisputedly the best of the lot, was a Top Ten Radio hit and together with “Everything My Heart Desires”, “Want You Back”, “Love Shot”, and “The Way To My Heart” backs up the album. “Love You For Always” and “Walk Me Home” are tolerable.
The similarity in style between this young lady, who has toured with N’Sync and the Backstreet Boys, and her peers, Aguilera and Spears, cannot be missed. Her debut single “Candy” bears an uncanny resemblance to “…Baby One More Time” and “Genie In A Bottle” in mood and meaning.
Her album, with songs about love and heartbreak, does reflect the throbbing of a teeny bopper’s adolescent heart. She shows promise, though she could do with a little more individuality.
